I feel the key to getting to know people and trust them is to let them be who they are. In stead we trust people to be who we want them to be. And when they are not, we are not happy. We need to learn to allow those we love to truly be themselves and who they wish to be and not a projection of who we want them to be.
No one can be happy without a friend, nor be sure of a friend until we are unhappy.
Why I write this is because in the last few weeks a wonderful person from my past has been in touch with me and has made me realise how important it is to have an unconditional friendship.
I believe love and friendship does not die easily. It is a wonderful living thing and can thrive in the face of all life's hazards. Save one: Neglect. So my feelings are try to rekindle all lost friendships. Friendship should be like a magnet in our hearts that will attract true friends who we love.
